Team-building and exchange activities between Professor Fangfang Cao’s group at Beihang University and Professor Wenliang Wang’s group at Peking University
On September 12, 2026, Professor Fangfang Cao from Beihang University, along with all members of her research team, held an exchange meeting with Professor Wenliang Wang from Peking University and all members of his research team. They were also very honored to invite Ms. Alai Shalitana from the Institute of Tumor Prevention and Research at the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University to visit the Third Hospital of Peking University for an exchange and learning session.
During the exchange meeting, members of both research teams, together with Ms. Alai Shalitana, briefly introduced themselves and shared their academic backgrounds and research interests. These introductions helped foster rapport among the participants and provided a valuable opportunity for them to gain a deeper understanding of one another’s work. Professor Cao and Professor Wang then presented the key research areas and major achievements of their respective teams. The students found the presentations highly informative, noting that the meeting had broadened their academic horizons and offered valuable insights into their future research.
Following the meeting, Professor Cao organized a friendly billiards activity, encouraging participants to maintain a healthy balance between work and leisure while further strengthening connections between the two teams. A dinner hosted by Professor Cao followed, during which Professor Cao and Professor Wang shared their personal research experiences and encouraged the students to pursue continuous improvement. They emphasized the importance of critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and perseverance in scientific research. Both professors also recognized the students’ abilities and initiative while expressing high expectations for their future development. Inspired by their mentors’ encouragement, the students expressed their determination to continue striving for excellence and their sincere appreciation for the thoughtful guidance they had received.
More than a valuable academic exchange, the event strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for productive and long-term collaboration between the two research teams.
