Welcome Tong Zhang to the NanoProBio Lab

We are delighted to welcome Zhang Tong from Henan Province as a new master’s student (recommended without the national exam) joining the NanoProBio Lab at Beihang University.

During her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University, Zhang Tong developed a strong research background in biomaterials and wound healing. She participated in several projects, including a cold compress dressing for post‑cosmetic care, a multifunctional nanocomposite hydrogel for high‑altitude diabetic wounds, and a polyphenol‑modified nanozyme hydrogel for infected wounds. Her work earned her the first prize in the 10th National College Life Science Competition, among other honors. She also received the National Scholarship for two consecutive years, and earned university-level honors including the “Outstanding Student Pacemaker” title and first-class comprehensive scholarships.

Beyond academics, Zhang Tong served as President of the Medical School Student Union and was recognized as an Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadre. Looking ahead, we expect her to explore interdisciplinary frontiers in nanomaterials, probiotics, and biomedical engineering. We warmly welcome Zhang Tong to the NanoProBio Lab and look forward to her exciting scientific journey.
